Write An Article
By Christopher MooreAt ilovephysics.com I am always looking for great articles about physics and physics education. If you write it, then I’ll read it and maybe even publish it on this site. So if you have the inside scoop on some interesting physics then sign-up for an account through the link below and write it up. I’ll review your article and determine whether it will appear on ilovephysics.com.
Of course, there are a few rules:
(1) You can write articles about any area of physics research so long as that research has been published in a peer reviewed journal. This is not a forum for crack-pot “Theories of Everything”. If you have a new theory about something, write it up for Nature, Science, or Physical Review, not this site. If you’re unsure whether or not your theory is “crack-pot”, then see this.
(2) Articles must be clear and concise. If I have to spend more than a few minutes editing it, then it will not be published. If I have trouble reading it, then it will not be published. If the science is incorrect, then it will not be published.
(3) You may under no circumstances post any copyrighted information. If you get an article published that someone else holds the copyright on, then you will be removed and not allowed to register again. If you have a forum account, you will loose it. This is very important. I have no interest in wearing a fancy suit and tie. So don’t make me go to court.
(4) Short blog posts pointing to other articles that are relevant to this site are acceptable and encouraged.
(5) Opinion pieces that are relevant to this site are acceptable, especially if I disagree with you. I’ll publish your article, and then write my own.
(6) By submitting written work to this website you grant J. Christopher Moore Publishing the non-exclusive right to publish (in any form, electronically, printed, etc.) your work in perpetuity. This means that if you submit an article, I have the legal right to publish it for as long as I want in any way that I want. You of course retain the rights to have it published elsewhere, you just cannot grant exclusive rights to someone else.
(7) I am the ultimate arbiter of what is and is not published on this site. If I do not publish your article, do not continually bug me about the whys. I’ll try to inform you as to why, but my decision is final and will most likely not change.
Just remember, you have Freedom of the Press, just not freedom to use my press.
