Newton’s Laws and Force Problems

By Christopher Moore

John pushes Chris with a force of Newtons causing Chris to accelerate m/s2. What is Chris’s mass? If the force is doubled, what would happen to Chris’s acceleration?

Two boxes sit on top of a frictionless desk. Box 1 has a mass of kg while the Box 2 has a mass of kg . A force of N is applied to Box 2. What is the force "felt" by Box 1?
