I'm a little stuck on my physics homework at standard grade level.
Can anyone help me find the acceleration of these objects
1) a 100 000Kg shuttle traveling at 50 m/s in space.
2) A toy rocket of mass 1.4 Kg whose engine stopped while the rocket was in mid air.
Can you show your working out so i know where you got the answer from
Thanks

Well, to know the acceleration, you need to know the force or the rate of change of momentum. So I'm stumped.
But to the second one, it will accelerate at a rate of 9.81 m/s^2 toward the center of the earth.
