Physics education research, electronic materials, and the musings of Christopher Moore, Ph.D.

Hi,

I'm new to physics, the only experience i have with it is a general sciences standard grade, but after summer I am going to college to do highers in Physics, Biology and Mathematics and was wondering if their was any decent books or pdf's i could read so I know at least the basics before I turn up at college.
