Looking for help? Read this thread first.

You're here, so you're probably stuck on a physics problem. We love to help people understand physics, but please follow the following guidelines when posting in this forum:

  • •  Make your title descriptive. Do not simply scream "HELP!!!". Use a title that explains what you need help with, such as "Conservation of energy trouble" or "Speed vs. velocity! What's the difference."

  • •  Do not just post your homework problems in the forum. If all you do is post a problem, you will get very little help. No one here will do your homework for you. Post the problem and explain what you've done so far. If you don't know where to start, then at least explain what you think the main concept is.

  • •  Give the LaTeX tags a try when entering equations. We've added some pretty simple buttons to help. It is much easier to follow your thought process when we can see equations.

  • •  If you think you've developed a new theory of everything, or proven Einstein wrong, or discovered some amazing way to make money and "get women" using quantum mechanics, then you are in the wrong place. Please air your views in the "New Theories" forum.

  • Follow these guidelines and we'll try to help as much as we can.

Chemists are physicists who don't do math. smile
