Hello, Im having trouble with 2 problems regarding Newtons third law of motion... First, can the third law occur within the same object for example a wing from a plane in the air? and if so why?

Re: Help with Newton's third law

Your question is not clear at all. What is the meaning of ' wing from a plane in the air' ? For anothr qustion Third law can not be applied to the same body. Action and reaction always occurs in two different bodies. smile smile

Re: Help with Newton's third law

Newton Third Law Is Always True In Classical Physics  If You Draw Fbd Ofcontact Surface  ,for Every Action There Will A Reaction Exist, Action  Reaction Act On Two Different Obgects So They Will Never Cancelout

Re: Help with Newton's third law

An Isolated Body Can Not Exist In Universe So Third Law May Not True For Such Object

Re: Help with Newton's third law

A force is a push or a pull upon an object that results from its interaction with another object. Forces result from interactions. The mutual forces of action and reaction between two bodies are equal, opposite and collinear. In all the universe, there are few ideas more fundamental than those expressed in the three laws of motion.
