Hey, my names matt. im taking physics intro at college. im confused on this problem.
Body b is hanging free by a weightless cord which is wrapped around a pulley which is attached to Body A on the incline.
Body A weighs 100 N, and body B weighs 33 N. The coefficients of friction between A and the incline are μs = 0.56 and μk = 0.25. Angle θ is 40°. Let the positive direction of an x axis be up the incline.
Find the acceleration of A, if A is moving up the incline? What is the acceleration if A is moving down the incline?
What i need help is with determining all the forces present, especially how kinetic and static friction can influence at the same time.
