linear motion

Hello,
I am having trouble with a problem.
I have an initial velocity of 48 km/hr = 13.333m/s
I have a final velocity of 100 km/hr = 27.778m/s
I have an acceleration of 17m/s2

how long does it take to get to 100km?
what distance is travelled in this time?

any tips would be appreciated.

Re: linear motion

Try these 2 equations:
Vf=at+Vi
Vf^2=Vi^2+2a(Sf-Si)

Where a=acceleration, t=time, s=distance, V=velocity,
