Tau=I*al
I=.5*m*r^2 .5*60.0kg*.240m^2=1.728kg*m^2
Al = om/t 1/6 rev/s^2 = pi/6= 0.523 rad/sec^2
1.728kg*m^2 * .523rads/s^2 =0.904N*m
Im not sure of my answer. I have spent a lot of time on this. this is an online physics class and the instructors course notes are vague. He also substitutes universal symbols, such as omega(angular velocity) for om...and al for acceleration....this is causeing me probelms when i go to get help as im not speaking the right language.
any help woudl be appreciated.
