The continuum hypothesis

All lines are made of of an infinite amount of points. Evidenlty there are different sizes of infinity.

"Continuity is the bridge of the finite to the infinite."

Re: The continuum hypothesis

Thanks for the reference.   I think that you mis-understood the quote.

Everything in the universe can be descibed as being in some part of a cycle.  This cycle would be creation, growth, conservation, decay, and destuction.  Everything that we percieve in the universe is at some stage of this cycle.  The concept of infinity is the idea that some action or object appears to not decay, or stop according to our perception of , and relative to other objects and actions.

Infinity is a concept, not a size.

Re: The continuum hypothesis

The point is some infinities are larger than others. At least in terms of a number line.

Infinity is a concept but it is not a quantity.

Re: The continuum hypothesis

.9 repeating plus 1/Infinity equals One

There is only one infinitesimal or infinitely small and it is not zero. It is One divided by Infinity.
