Hello. I hope this the right place to post this, as its kind of out of left field. For instead of asking for physics help, as a physics teacher myself, I would like to give some.
I have made a number of educational films which attempt to explain some of the more basic aspects of physics including the Laws of Motion, Conservation of Energy, and even Electron Shells (chemistry I know, but its close enough). My gimmick is that I present all of these concepts using clips from several science fictions TV shows you're sure to recognize. If a physics professor is too intimidating, then surely you'll trust Captain Sisko.
These are written and made by me, offered for free for anyone in need of an extra teaching resource or educational help. Or for just plain sheer fun of watching starships blow up.
Here are the direct links:
Physics of Starship Battles: Energy, Waves, and Sound
This is my most recent one, explaining the Conservation of Energy, Longitudinal and Transverse Waves, the science of sound in space.
Physics of Starship Battles: Explosive Decompression
This was my first one, explaining the concept of atmospheric pressure and the value of 15 lbs per square in of pressure on unfortunate space travelers.
On that same Youtube name are two more movies about Momentum and the science of phasers, respectively.
I hope you find these appropriate here, and even useful. Please leave any comments you like, and enjoy.
