Show off LaTeX skills

Now that the forums support LaTeX, let's show off our LaTeX skills! Just put whatever LaTeX you want between [ tex ] ... [ /tex ] tags.

f(x)=\bigint_{-\infty}^x~e^{-t^2}dt

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

If you think that's cool, then check this out:

\small\hspace{10}\unitlength{.75}\picture(120,220){~(60,200){\circle(120,40)}~(0,20){\line(0,180)}(5,189;0,-30){\pict(110,20){(c20,10;70;2){\pict(40,20){(20,10){\circle(40,20)}(c10,10)+(c30,10)-}}~}~}(119,20){\line(0,180)}~(60,20){\circle(120,40;34)}}

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

That's nothing. Watch this:

\Large\hspace{5}\unitlength{1}\picture(175,100){~(50,50){\circle(100)}(1,50){\overbrace{\line(46)}^{4$\;\;a}}(52,50){\line(125)}~(50,52;115;2){\mid}~(52,55){\longleftar[60]}(130,56){\longrightar[35]}~(116,58){r}~(c85,50;80;2){\bullet}(c85,36){3$-q}~(c165,36){3$q}(42,30){\underbrace{\line(32)}_{1$a^2/r\;\;\;}}~}

And how about this:

\Large A\ =\ \large\left(\begin{array}{c.ccc}&1&2&3\\\hdash1&a_{11}&a_{12}&a_{13}\\2&a_{21}&a_{22}&a_{23}\\3&a_{31}&a_{32}&a_{33}\end{array}\right)

You can do all kinds of cool things with LaTeX!

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

TeX says: "Have a nice day!"

\unitlength{.6}\picture(100){(50,50){\circle(99)}(20,55;50,0;2){\fs{+1}\hat\bullet}(50,40){\bullet}(50,35){\circle(50,25;34)}(50,35){\circle(50,45;34)}}

Code for this one:

Code:

[tex]\unitlength{.6}\picture(100){(50,50){\circle(99)}(20,55;50,0;2)
{\fs{+1}\hat\bullet}(50,40){\bullet}(50,35){\circle(50,25;34)}(50,35)
{\circle(50,45;34)}}[/tex]

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

Hey, what are you using to do that? I wonder if it would solve Michael Nielsen's Latex + Wordpress problems...

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

I've integrated mimeTeX with the forum software. More about this integration can be found at the URL below:

http://forums.punbb.org/viewtopic.php?id=4856

I haven't written a hack for Wordpress yet since I am much less familiar with Wordpress' code and I haven't had a need. Maybe when I sit down and upgrade the blog to the newest version.

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

You've got to put the LaTeX commands between [ tex] tags like this:

Code:

[tex]\alpha\omega\theta\Sigma[/tex]

It will look like so: \alpha\omega\theta\Sigma

Re: Show off LaTeX skills

This doesn't mean anything and it doesn't even make sense but anyway, some plain tex for you. smile
...and it doesn't work. hmmm lets see if I can make it into LaTeX, I'll be back later!
