Advice

I as well as all the degree carrying physicists here have invaluable advice to give to aspiring physicist still in hs or freshman in college.  But I am not gonna just offer it up.  No one spoon fed me, and now alas I will take 4.5 yrs to graduate (but with no summers at least).  So if you ask the right questions and I don't have to stretch my imagination to figure out what you are asking, then I will answer them.

Let me rephrase that.

You can ask me questions about physics in college or applying to college.  If I understand the question then I am happy to answer it.

Re: Advice

Sometimes, Jason, an ill-formed question is simply a reflection of the questioner’s confusion, which is, after all, what s/he is seeking help to clarify. The only “bad” question is the one that never gets asked.

Some “invaluable advice”: Encourage “aspiring physicists” to ask questions, without fear of belittlement, rejection, or embarrassment.

The truth is out there.

Re: Advice

ok, i am just having alot of problems visualizing this problem i have, its for an assignment i have and i just need help on it.... the questions ask alot of different things so ill just post the entire question and if you can please help....

2 vibrating sources emit waves in the same elastic medium. The first source has a frequency of 25hz. while the frequency of the second source is 75hz. waves from the first source have a wavelength of 6.0m. they reflect from a barrier back into the original medium, with an angle of reflection of 25 degrees. waves from the second source refract into a different medium with an angle of incidence of 35 degrees. The speed of the refracted waves is observed to be 96m/s..... now

i have many questions about this... big main problem, i just have a problem trying to visualize it.... to please help me
