How do you write........

Is there a list of how you write things on this forum? I was just wondering about that and if anyone would tell me how to write the "partial differential" sign or I call it the backward 6 it would be greatly appriciated.

Re: How do you write........

The forum uses mimeTeX to generate equations. It pretty much follows LaTeX formats. See this site.

For a delta (or any greek symbol) you type the following:

Code:

\delta \Delta
\sigma \Sigma
\theta \Theta

If you place this between TeX tags [tex ] [/tex ], then it will look like this:
