Re: Which number does not belong?

That is correct. But a blind guess is not good enough for the big prize. Who knows why 3196 does not belong with the others?

Re: Which number does not belong?

Here is a hint: It has something to do with multiplication.

Re: Which number does not belong?

hmm I haven't fully tested my hypothesis, but, 3196 is the only number that can be divided by a whole number to give a whole number answer. e.g, 2, 4, 34, although that seems abit to simple, but then again some things ARE simple.

Re: Which number does not belong?

Well. I didn't notice it before, but 3196 is the only even number on the list.

Another hint: Don't think of the number as one large number. Think in terms of the four individual numbers.

Re: Which number does not belong?

Ha I see it.. 3196 is the only one whos first and last number when multiplied do not equal the two digit number in the middle....
7213: 7x3 = 21
8405: 8x5 = 40
2189: 2x9 = 18
8567: 8x7 = 56

But 3196: 3x6 = 18, 18 is not equal to 19 wink
