Blogging the AVS and Kirk Cameron

By Christopher Moore

This week I’m attending the American Vacuum Society’s (AVS) annual conference. More about what that is tommorrow. I just got off the plane. Normally, I would write an interesting article about flight and the Bernoulli Principle, but I’m too tired. Maybe another day. The high point of the flight: on the plane, I sat next to Kirk Cameron of “Growing Pains” fame. He’s not quite the star he used to be (neither of us was in first class) but hell, I grew up on that show, so it was pretty exciting for me.

That’s all for today.

  1. Chris, I stumbled upon your website rather haphazardly not expecting to find your witty commentary on your and my favorite 80s pop heartthrob, Kirk Cameron, and then I realized that your commentary was not only witty, but also extremely COPIOUS (extending as far as the scroll bar could take me)…why do you have so much time on your hands?

  2. Well Hirra, I spent a total of two sentences on Kirk Cameron, which I estimate, took about 2 minutes of my time. The scroll bar extends down because I have written about hundreds of other subjects over the last few months. You’ll also notice that all of them pertain to physics or science — a weird theme we have here at ilovePHYSICS.com. It’s also part of my job to write these things.

Concerning having so much time on my hands: As far as I know, time can’t be held. Even if it could, I am pretty sure I have none on my hands. If I do and don’t know it, maybe you could suggest a quality soap that I could use to scrub it off.
