If I told you that there are giant metal towers in the middle of the desert manipulating the weather to produce rain, then you would ask what science fiction novel was I currently reading. Or, you would wonder whether I had gotten sucked into one of those weird History Channel shows about alien technology. Nope. This one seems real.
Scientists employed by the United Arab Emirates president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan have allegedly succeeded in creating over 50 rain storms in Abu Dhabi’s Al Ain region.
The science is kind of interesting. I’m not convinced quite yet — correlation is not causation — however, I am intrigued.
