WordPress, which powers the blog, has been upgraded to v2.7.1. Next up will be the forum software. I’m still toying with the idea of going with WordPress MU. I like the new theme because it fits with my simplistic web ideology. Obviously, the image to the left will be updated with a more appropriate image in the near future. Also, I still have to integrate the forum into the new theme. This will be a good thing, since the forum as is is a little too narrow.

I’ve eliminated the tutorials because … well … they don’t really exist. I’ve gotten rid of the apparel link because it made about $2 per year on average. (I haven’t checked my Cafepress account in a while!) There were some other features to the site that have come and gone over the years. I’ve decided that this site is a blog and a forum. That is all. I can barely keep up with those two functions, so I have to stop trying to make the site into something grander.

I hope to actually start blogging more. A new theme should get me back into it. I also have a lot more to say nowadays about physics teaching. I have data that I’m itching to present!

EDIT: I just attempted a WordPress MU install. This was a complete nightmare, since WP MU has decided to shove their stupid no-www ideology down other people’s throats. Needless to say, I will not be running the site on WP MU, since I can’t install it.

EDIT TWO: Of course IE breaks the hell out of my new theme! Arrrggghhh! Why can’t IE render webpages like every other browser on the planet?!

    We are The Microsoft.
    Your website will be assimilated.
    Your webpages will comply.
    Resistance is futile.
