Christopher Moore is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He lives in North Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife and two children.
The site is now moved on to the new servers. If you are reading this post, then the DNS stuff has propagated. Of course, there are still MANY little bugs due to the move. One that I know of is LaTeX is not working in the forms. I’m sure more will surface.
The good news is that I have avoided upgrading the forum software since I had written the LaTeX engine in by hand and didn’t want to go through re-doing that with the upgrade. Well, I’ll have to do it anyway now, so I’ll probably be upgrading to the new punBB and Wordpress.
Actually, I’m thinking about installing Wordpress Multi-User, similar to wordpress.com or blogger, but with a more unique domain. Since I have admittedly sucked at keeping content on the front page here, maybe others could do a better job!
I’m snowed in, so maybe these upgrades might happen for real tomorrow. However, I have two young children and I’m behind on some of my paying work, so then again it might not.
EDIT: LaTeX now works in the forums. My new host runs FreeBSD, so I needed to upload an executable compiled for the different operating system.
